Here is another Halloween design. I used 2 coats of OPI Into the Night. Below my cuticles is Icing Glamourous (a holographic glitter). I have been neglecting my cuticles and am a little embarrassed to show them. The stamping was with Konad white polish and this years Bundle Monster plates. I finally used the Batman fimo. I kept this on for a few days and was kind of bummed to remove it.

Franken white with nail art
Today, I have the do over of my Friday Franken. I finally had the time to try it again. I used 3 coats of my grayish white and 1 coat of OPI Pirouette My Whistle. I almost wanted to stop there because the delicate sparkles made it look so complete and fresh. Bundle Monster plate BM-323 was used for all designs with Konad black and OPI Manicurist of Seville (for the roses). I was really happy with the outcome this time.

California Colors #13
I found a gem of a polish for only $1.07 at my local Longs (CVS). It is labeled as #13 with no name. A coral pink jelly with flakies. Very similar to OPI I Lily Love You (which is more pink).
This is 2 coats Guy Meets Gal-Veston and 2 coats #13. Out the Door top coat caused shrinkage again. This combo looks like a party on my nails. |

Care to Danse? gradient
Good morning. It might be summer, but we are seriously lacking the sunshine. All of our summer fun activities are on hold because of the unpredictable weather. I took the girls swimming the other day and we had to cut it short when it started getting really windy and the rain started falling. I had bought a bunch of outdoor fun things for the girls for summer and we haven't really gotten to make use of them. It will probably be hot and sunny when school starts in a few weeks and everyone is busy. Ugh. Okay, there I vented. Now I feel better. On to todays manicure. Today I have a gradient using OPI Care to Danse? and SH Gem Crush Be-Jeweled. This combo has a light, airy feel to it. I started off with 2 coats of Care to Danse?.......
and then sponged on Be-Jeweled............ |
1 more coat of Care to Danse? to create a jelly sandwich..... |
and then brushed Be-Jeweled on my tips. |
Added some fimo. I overloaded the flowers on this hand and then went minimal on the other hand. |
It really sparkles under the kitchen light. |

Essie Bikini So Teeny
This is how bad my nail polish addiction is, I see something and then my mind relates it to a nail polish color. Last week, I was sitting by the pool at my daughters swimming lesson, I was showing my youngest daughter the clouds in the sky. I looked up and thought the sky was a beautiful blue, just like Essie Bikini So Teeny. Yep, that's what first came to mind. Of couse that afternoon I went and picked up a bottle. I have a lot of blue polish and nothing came even close to being remotely similar.
The formula was thick but yet slightly runny. It self levels, so that was a plus. I used two coats with Seche Vite for the base and top coat. Dry time before the Seche Vite was fairly quick. This is a beautiful, calming blue that I never get tired of. I love it on its own and as a base for stamping. Of course the first mani had to be clouds. I used a Konad plate for the clouds and a nail express plate for the flowers. I'm trying to incorporate fimos in all my manicures. It's my personal challenge to use all the designs that I have. I also am going to try to use all the designs on every nail plate that I own. I even want to somehow get through all my untried polishes too. That is a mega challenge that might take me a year to do considering I only do my nails 2x/week.

Neon Melon Watermelon
I was in Walgreens the other day and saw their Sinful Colors rack fully stocked for the first time in awhile. Included in that rack was a bunch of neons that I had seen earlier in the year and passed up. On this trip, they were all calling my name. Wishing it was $0.99 sale time, I settled on just one. I decided to get Neon Melon because I wanted to try my fimo watermelons with this highlighter yellow. This is my first official neon polish. I'm pretty excited with it.
I used X-treme Wear White On as undies to really make this neon pop. I used a Konad plate and Konad polish for the tips. |
I did this entire manicure 2 hours before leaving the house. When I came home, one of my watermelons was missing. |
This color is so bright, it practically glows in the dark. |

Fimo Fruits
This is my first attempt with my new fjmo canes. This morning I was having a bad nail day. I had on a different color and tried to Konad over it 3 times until I finally took it all off. Ugh! So frustrating. I took a break, washed some dishes, and decided to try my new fimos. I am absolutely loving the results. It's pretty easy to work with. I was trying something on my ring finger. I was going to "dip" the fruits, but it didn't work out.
On my nails, I started with a base coat, 2 coats of OPI Flit A Bit, 1 coat OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?, applied fruits, 1 thick coat of Seche Vite. Done. It was easier than me trying to stamp this morning.

Bundle Monster Fimo Rods
My Bundle Monster Fimo rods arrived yesterday. It's a pretty good assortment.
Here is a breakdown of what I received.
39 flowers Wow! That's a lot of flowers. |
3 skulls, 3 logos, 2 yin-yang. 4 smiley face The logos are generic looking. I'll use those to practice my cutting skills. |
4 stars, 3 presents, 2 dragonflies, 3 butterflies, 1 leaf I can't believe there is only 1 leaf rod. I really like this group of rods best. I wish there were more in the lot. |
I guess this is the holiday group. My fav here is the snowflake. Why oh why, just 1 snowflake. A holly leaf and candy cane would have been nice too. |
8 fruits, 1 cupcake 1 cut apple would have enough. A kiwi or lemon could have made a nice addition. |
Sorry this pic is out of focus. I couldn't figure out what these were. If anyone has any idea, please let me know. |
This group is why I ordered the bundle monster set. Most likely, I'll be wearing these first. Too cute! |
I'm excited to try these out. Sadly. I'll have to wait about 2 1/2 weeks. Right now, I am working a lot with my hands painting and building props for Vacation Bible Camp. And then of course arts and crafts for the kids. These cute Fimo rods wouldn't last a day on my fingers.
